Right Tool for the job. I'm not going to buy a screwdriver to screw together a house. I'll get a drill.

The Alpine is good. The P90 is great. One provides everything most people want. The other provides the rest with what they need.

Like Pulse-R said though, no point getting one and expecting it to sound brilliant if its setup wrong.

pioneer p90rs is a better than alpine 9887 matter of personal opinion you have to hear them perform under a proper tuning hands of course. Down fall expensive and is nothing without its robin the processing unit.

Alpine 9887 also sound great I think pioneer run a clearer sound try listening to acoustic music on them something like alan taylor. Affordable is it best key and the additional imprint you unit help sort out a lot of things sound wise.
