Well a lot of you would know that my old amps (the ones in my signature) are broken. Thus, time for a new amp.

Anyway, someone was selling a US Amps TU-4360 which REALLy caught my eye. We have a tube amp at home and I've always been a fan of the sound. However, there's quite a dillema involving the amp. You see, the amp CANNOT be bridged and thus I can only run my sub with maybe 75W RMS. This would mean 1 wasted channel.

So, my options are:
1. Get the US Amps TU-4360 and then sell my sub and get another DVC 2+2 sub and wire it across the remaining 2 chanels of the amp (it'll get about 180RMS).
2. Get a Jaycar 4 x 100 RMS.

What do you guys think? In the interest of sound quality, of course.

Oh yeah, and the kind of music I listen to is very varied. Indie, acoustic, ambient, jazz, soul, blues, soft rock and occassionally i listen to other stuff like rnb and hip hop.

There is no way in the world you would be able to compare a Jaycar against the US tube amp.

The Jaycar is a good amp, but its not in the same league. If you get the amp, try it off 75 rms first, for a nice SQ system it may be enough...

If not, get yourself a new sub... That tube would be one sweet amp, I nearly bout it about 2 months ago...

Yeah I know it's sweet....it looks ****ing fabulous IMO.

I really am in love with it but oh so dissapointed about the 75 RMS thing!

BTW edy, did you get yourself some new subs? Boston pro's?

Yeah 2 x 12" Boston Pro 2 ohm subs...

They will get 600 rms + each, probably in sealed enclosures...

Hey guys, I've been doing some research and I found out that, in order to be able to bridge the US amps tu-4360, i'll need an external phase inverter. I also found out that the Solid-state amps all have this in-built.

I'm just wondering if anyone could help me on how to attain one of these and use it so that I can use my sub?

Yeah, just cut the RCA lead and switch the polarity of one channel...
