Trying to decide on which SQ (12", sealed box) sub to buy. Its the final part of my system and I'm considering the Lotus SW300, but got no freakin idea as to where to listen. I kno FHRX stock them, but are they the only ones? I'm in Melb btw.

So is anyone familiar with Lotus subs? The SW300 (4 ohm) is rated at 500wrms. What other SQ subs could you compare it to? I have a JL 500/1 to power it.

Would appreciate any advice, and opinions. Thanks :)

Your playing in a tough area there.
There are lots of great subs within that price range (~$500 i assume?) that all sound great....

RE SE12
DD 2512
IDQ12
Diamond Audio CM612
Boston G212
JL Audio 12W3V2
Rainbow SW E300 Audiophile
Focal Polyglass 33V2

I havent heard all these so i cant reallyc omment... But there really is a big choice :P
The Lotus subs seem pretty cool... Would be somewhat "exclusive" as there arent too many around.... Lotus (Seas) do have a reputation for making great sounding gear.

Good luck with it.

Thanks Fury. From what I've gathered, the Lotus subs are definately SQ orientated, but as FHRX only started stocking them no so long ago, no one knows much about them!!

Would love to here some opinions. Might have to shoot Marty a PM :)

And yes, my budget is upto and around $500. I've heard the W3v2 and the IDQ, but also keen to check out the Focal 33V2 as well.

Definately give Marty a pm/email.
He's no doubt heard most (if not all) of these subs, and should be able to provide you with useful information and what would best suit your listening desires.
