hi all, ive not been active on here for ages, and most probably dont remember me but i met a few lads, and have spoken to chris (data mine) several times through the forums we have at work.

im after assistance building a custom mounting for the 6.5 inch mids i want to fit in the front of my RS liberty. i had made some ghetto mounts for my focals, but recently a focal mid went open cct and ive picked up a cheap set of jaycar splits to do the job in the mean time.

im hoping a local who knows his stuff can assist with some time (duly rewarded in beer/cash) to show me the best way to go about making a mount that blends into the factory trim and doesnt look out of place.

some added incentive.. once my new engine is bedded in and tuned (Gas motorsports), ill take you for a run.. should be good for high side of 250 KW at all 4 treads :D. i can reciprocate with assistance in engine building, parts etc, have some very good friends in the right businesses, and i built my EJ257 myself for less than $3K (manley forged rods, Mahle 2618 forged pistons, ported heads, cams etc etc)..

i have some ideas about the speaker mounts, but wanted to find someone with experience. any assistance muchly appreciated :)

Paul

yeah i often see you guys on fergus road, just around the corner from my house..

i bought some stuff to do glassing and am going to crack on this evening on the first pod. i have a good base to start from using the factory build out and just building over it. if it doesnt work no harm done..

how come you arent on the DRN any more? thought you were contracted still/?? better offer mate ? LOL
