There are some decent midbass drivers that are 94-5 db efficient, which would give you more output.

the exclusives are the same, i traded off eficiency for super low distortion and and responce...
bit late now, i probably should have looked in the pro audio stuff, but i dont regret my decision... ill just power em up...

No, the correct definition for a regulated power is the same output power across a large voltage range, and they should double power for every halving in load impedence, so 200w @ 4 ohm from 10.5v to 14.4v for example and 400w @ 2 ohm from 10.5v to 14.4v. The example you have given is something similar to the RIPS system JL uses which just manipulates rail voltage to control output power.

Would maximum rail voltage occur at 4 ohms, and therefore maximum power into 8 ohms would be exactly half?

otherwise the HD 600/4 is 2x300RMS at 8 ohm - could be an option there maybe, or a couple of 450/4 - one for left @ 150x1 + 300x1 per amp @ 8 ohms...
and the 300/2 is 300x1 bridged at 8 ohms.

Bridge a 2x150 to each 8inch woofer giving 340wrms to each 8inch.
Bridged the 4x100 to each midrange to give 260wrms to each 4inch.
Run a single 2x150 for the tweeters giving 150wrms to each tweeter.
That power is spot on. The tweeters are more sensitive so you dont need as much power.
