* LP 50hz @ 24dB.

* front stage got scanspeak 8535 in 10L sealed LP 80hz @ 12dB.

box specs:
25" length x 13" height x 11 depth" = 1.5cu with some internal size reduction

i run mine in a 'sealed' box, around 1.3cuft nett internal volume. the sub is slightly biased in its design towards 'sealed'. i find it sounds excellent in terms of sound quality: nice linear, accurate subbass. my amp offers similar power to yours, which i find is ample for my needs; it can go very, very loudly.

i also have the LP at 90Hz, with 12dB/oct slope. it plays fine up this high, and provides some added midbass punch to compliment the front speakers. 50Hz, with such a steep slope, means it won't actually be doing much; of course it depends upon the music you're playing, but most music has subbass at around 60Hz.

:)

I'd go sealed myself - it's a controversial topic that will always draw arguments, but my view is that ported boxes (while the have their benefits) just don't work well in cars.

i've tried all different box's with the idmax. overall each box has different results.

1.0 cu sealed: warm, blends with weaker mid bass's up front. enclosure for an all type of music situation

1.5 cu sealed. has sweet pressure, plays lower, pretty loud. will trash a small car from boot to front.

2.2 cu tuned 32hz: "built this morning tested this afternoon" much louder but lacks the feel in your chest. efficient use of power, deep and clean

tried 1.8 cu sealed once, not much point hits xmax of less power
