If some one has some spare time and knowlege about amps,

Mine has decided to be in protect mode was working for about 2 weeks, until saturday, gains were low and x-over were around 80.

Ive tried unplugging everything and re plugging it back in, tried relocating earth, removed fuses and put them back in! i have no idea! and its if fixable cheap i want to do it!

Just if someone could have a look and make sure i havnt missed anything that would be great!

Cheers Josho.

hey josh

you're welcome to bring it round tonight if you like. give me a call on 0401 607 849 and we'll have a look. I don't know anything about amp guts, but we can certainly see if it's an amp or a wiring problem.

The only excuse for passive crossovers is their low cost. Their behavior changes with the signal level dependent dynamics of the drivers. They block the power amplifier from taking maximum control over the voice coil motion. They are a waste of time, if accuracy of reproduction is the goal.
