hi guys, probably time I put something up!!
First of all, the thankyouse. All of the organisers this year did a brilliant job. After doing my best on last year's finals, I can truly take my hat off to Broadz who came up with the goods! Perfect weather, great accomodation, very good dinner (would've scored 8's or 9's but they missed my "rare" bit of the "medium-rare" steak order

damn mexicans!), a location to die for - awesome stuff mate! Marc of course, who did just enough this year and the last decade to scrape over the line and win the innaugural "Above and Beyond" award. Don't listen to what they say about you mate - I think you're alright
Thanks to all of the competitors who made the big drive from interstate too - it makes it into a truly national competition which is so rewarding for everyone!
To the winnnorz - winning or placing at this level requires enormous dedication and focus, so well done! To those who were narrowly pipped at the post (you know who you are!) we'll be back next year with better systems and better installs, so look out! Congratulations to ~Spyne~ by the way, for a whole bunch of different reasons this year!
Big thanks to all and sundry who made the whole weekend a blast. Coming to these events is what its all about - it puts faces to the names, character and life to the words on the internet
As for me? I had a cracker of a weekend which started when my house was invaded by a bunch of snarly interstate SQ'ers. Then another one ended up showed up at 3am ("aawww nah matty I've been working soooo haard, and then installing allll niiiight....

)...
We were on the road by 9am, nothing short of a damn miracle in my book, and cruised easily down to Lakes with a spot of lunch in the oh so classy Cann River. From then on it was beers aplenty (which I managed to con 2loud2old into going halves with me in a case then promptly loading the lot into my fridge - ooops! sorry mate!) and a proper catch up with the crew over dinner. It must be in the air as I counted at least 4 of us (Me, Marc, Damo, Brian) who are engaged and couldn't be happier
Saturday was eminently reasonable. Perfect weather, a late start and a good crew overlooking beautiful beaches and blue skies. Fury and I got cracking with the cars, expecting to spend no more than the official 10 minutes per car. 45 minutes later we got out of Pulse-R's, um, Pulsar, and decided we'd better get a move on! Despite the heat, we were both blown away by the quality of this year's expert class which was shown in the final scores.
Saturday night was more fun and games, the only downside is that at about 2am I sat down with another beer, cracked the top and the last stragglers stood up and announced they were going to bed. PPPPOOOOOOOOOOOOR EEEFFFFFFOOOORRT!!!!!!!
Sunday? Ummm, I got to drive a new twin turbo Beemer really fast? oooooh yeahhhhhh......
all in all, a cracker of a weekend! WOOOOOOOOTTTT!!!!!!!
cheers guys
