Me and my girlfriend decided to re do the boot of her lancer, starting off with a false floor. upgraded subs and amps to come later.

Started off getting rid of the sub and pre fab box she had in there.
Lancers are easy becuase the boot is flat anyway. But we wanted it raised a bit to make it easy running cables etc later.

Cut spacers and decided where they would sit, for the new floor to go on top of them.

Made a cardboard template of the boot, up behind the seats doesnt matter as the sub box is going to cover that anyway.

Cut them out of mdf in 2 big peices and checked the fit.

Being a daily driver on some crap roads, we really ned easy acess to the spare wheel.
so cut out a trapdoor for it, and sunk it in..

Forgot to take pics but then covered the peices in carpet.
In this pic u can see the little tabs i put in so the spare tyre door will sit in and not drop down lower.

Also put a little drawer handle right up against the boot to make it easy to lift the tyre door.
you can hardly see it and sure does make it alot easier.

decided to get a big fancy!

NICE! Done very well on that one! That will come up crazy once it's done. i had a boot setup plan similar to the for my old VT. I had it planned to invert the subs (show the bums off on the Type R subs) and have the amps look like they were floating on an individual rack. BUT that never happened. So it's good to see something like this in action.
