Hi all,
I've had a DEH-8950BT for a year now, & was working fine with my nokia 6300.
Yesterday, I bought an N86 & attempted to pair it. It did not want to pair.
What happens, is that it goes through the process of pairing, i enter the passcode, it then comes up confirmed pairing, but then instantly comes up on my phone screen, connection failed.
Can anyone offer any suggestions? The 6300 had bluetooth v2.0, but the N86 has bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP. Does that matter?
Any help greatly appreciated!

Probably a bit old now but I don't think the AD2P should make a difference. I'm sure my 7850 BT works with AD2P so I think the 8950 should as well.

Same deal happened with my E71... it couldn't connect to HUs or even other phones! It would appear to connect and then immediately disconnect. It gave me the sh!ts. I updated the phone's firmware, and nothing happened (except all my ~400 contacts being deleted!) I couldn't be bothered to figure out why so I sold it and now have an iphone.

Try resetting the HU. Thats worked for me before on Eclipse HU's.

Have you contacted Pioneer to see if there's a head unit firmware update? There is for some models, there might be for that model.

Anyway, its there for the search engine for the next person stuck.
I believe there is a nokia phone add in/patch, that will help.
Its similar to this I think, http://www.pioneer.e..._bt_update.html
you send the H/U the downloaded file ( its a JPG ???) and it gives you another nokie profile to connect to. Standard/ Nokia and Nokia A
Only available on pioneer europe, then you need to find your model # in europe and search support.
Its a good chance to fix it.
It fixed the DEH-P7050BT and the nokia 6110 I had.
Good luck.
