Thanks for that link. Is this where you're going for your AVIs? Or are you going through Metrosound still?
I haven't heard from Hutch after a second email. I might have to get him on the phone. He can't hide then.

But first the answer to your question, if I will buy my AVI I would be buying it from Alex Minassian as I am in Gold Coast (I used to live in Melbourne for a good 14 years). And yeah, the price is not as scary as I thought it would be, considerin it is high-end.
Now on to my AVI story:
I bought Nakamichi CD700 as a present for my old man, and I sourced it from Alex Minassian. Then I moved to Gold Coast for work, and sure enough I like to upgrade my head unit from Nakamichi CD400 to Nakamichi CD700.
As we all know upgrading one thing leads to another in pursue for greater sound quality. So after the Nakamichi CD700 was installed, I asked Alex Minassian what would he recommend for speaker upgrade and he reccomended me AVI Sound. At that time I have no idea what is the brand AVI Sound. He let me hear his system (Nakamichi and AVI combo) and I was astound by it.
On that same day my old man rang me from Indonesia and told me he is about to upgrade his speakers. I told him about AVI Sound, and his response was "That's what I'm upgrading it to" as that's what the audio shop we trust in Indonesia also reccomended. I have no idea what fell from the sky that day.
As a result my old man was so pleased with the AVI sound, he went on and upgrade his second car and my older brother's car to AVI Sound speakers. Both of his cars use AVI Direct BSM 2-ways, and my brother's car use AVI Direct LX. And he bought me a set of AVI Direct LX too.
So that's how the story goes.
(My old man, my older brother and myself use Nakamichi head unit. Oh, Alex Minassian too. Strange.)

I've met Alex before,
a VERY interesting fellow. He LOVES his Nakamichi, and AVI. Had the pleasure of listening to his in-home setup consisting of a Nak headunit run off some sort of 12v power supply (lol) and Dyn Esotar tweeters, it was pretty unreal.
Heard the AVI speakers on his demoboard aswell, they were quite impressive.

Honestly buddy I'd keep your PG's, I remember AVI and they had some amazing sounding gear but I seriously don't think it's worth your effort changing over to them from the subs you already have especially considering you haven't even tried them yet!
As for front stage though, you always did say the Philips setup was temporary and there is a LOT of fabrication work involved for dual 6.5 plus 4" and tweet, so I'd concentrate more on making sure the front stage you put all of those hours of blood sweat and tears into is the one you really want

I need to visit Alex Minassian and ask for second opinion whether or not I need a subwoofer. At this point after a few tweaks I do not think I need it anymore. But I will still visit Metrosound this March and audition the 12' AVI SLS. Maybe it is a worthwhile upgrade from single 10' to single 12'.
By the way, why do you want to change your subwoofer Tiger?
