Hi folks

Does anybody know where I can get hold of one of the MTX re-Q processors or Audiocontrol LC6i preferrably to buy online as I don't have a lot of time to chase around for this stuff. It'll be going in a VE commo.

Thanks

About the re-Q, there are some on ebay, but they are international for now... local... I'm not too sure. I'll find out and get back to you shortly

My bad... Here you go :)

Thanks for looking Tiger. I should have mentioned that I already tried ordering from them with no luck. Said they weren't in stock and just gave a refund. Guess I keep looking then :(

Why not just send a PM to Hakki (crankin) or Marty (FHRX) i'm sure they could organise one for you in a day or two.

Yeah a Bit one would be nice and I'm sure it's better too but it'd want to be at 10 times the price. More than I want to spend anyway

I saw the MTX at WOW, it's a nice looking bit of kit for the money, I'm going to try one next time I need an LOC.

Also consider the Cache Coe6 if you get the chance. Best one I've used to date, although I haven't used the MTX.

This looks pretty good for an all in one style solution. LOC, LPF/HPF/Subsonic filters, Line driver, Parametric bass EQ and remote bass controller. Not bad for $89 USD.

The only Cache one I have seen in action retailed for the same money as the Audiocontrol LC6 but only had 1.5v RMS output as measured with a scope.

If you were choosing between the two the Audiocontrol has a higher voltage output and I would suggest that.

Bear in mind though that neither have any singal processing built in to account for variations from a flat frequency response that are common with OEM decks.

JB Hifi stock both The ReQ and LC6i. LC6i are $319 and The ReQ is $199 from memory, however the ReQ has no printing or anything to indicate that it's a MTX product. They're labelled as from a brand called Mitek. I assure you I haven't gotten products mixed up, it's definitely the same unit. The ReQ has hp/lp filters, adjustable level matching, sub control. The LC6i has only level matching and channel summing. IMHO, it's worth losing out on the lp/hp filters and sub control to get a unit that feels of much better build quality. LC6i are made by AudioControl in the USA, ReQ in China. The LC6i's manual is written like a mate, and cracks jokes etc about the product. All LC6i units are signed off by the person who assembles and the person who tests it.

I went for the LC6i.

To offer an unbiased opinion, I've never used an ReQ so they may quite possibly be a great unit. I was just more interested in a unit that does one thing, and does it well.

My 2c.

I knew I forgot a few :P

The old Xtant woofers that were a hex type shape were actually a rebadged MTX Thunder woofer... I pity all the people that paid throught the ass for the Xtant version :P

+1 for the audio control LC6i, the Audiocontrol stuff is virtually bullet proof. Dont forget the sub control is extra if you are using for running a sub. I had the EQTs years ago and they were awesome. I have also used the LC6i in a BA Falcon to just add subs it worked well, no interference or noise it sounded very nice.
