Got another 2 from the Referencedisc SALE

Fiona Joy Hawkins - Blue Dream
Valerie Joyce - New York Blue

Gosh my library is growing rapidly but then again why not. A good sound system needs a library of good audiophile recordings.

Oh thanks Marc for bundling this 2 to save me shipping cost. You are a champ !

A quick review of the album Blue Dream by Fiona Joy Hawkins

She's a really talented and accomplished pianist.
Track 2 is really nice with piano and the didgeridoo.

The whole album is exquisite music, vibrant, sensual and haunting.

I'm glad an Australian has such gifted talent.

Must listen

How long did it take for your discs to turn up? I have been waiting five days and apparently they are now closed for three weeks so I don't even know if my order was sent yet.

Unfortunately, postage from one side of the country to the other is not always the most speedy of services. Often you can order something from the US and it will arrive quicker than if ordering something from in Australia.
Give it another 3 or 4 days, if you haven't received your items by then, you might just have to be patient until Marc returns from holiday and ships your order. It can be annoying having to wait, but rest assured your order will turn up.

Mine was really quick. You pick the wrong time I guess. Just be patient, it will show up and it will be worth the wait. :)

I know postage can be slow, I get cycling gear from the UK quicker than from the East, but checkout at Reference Disc says they use a courier service which I thought may be quicker. Not a happy experience all up, my first order I placed a few weeks ago was cancelled by them because the web site was reporting incorrect stock levels. Now I remember why I usually download FLAC for free!

Discs turned up today standard post wrapped in one layer of bubble wrap, one with a busted case. If you are going to charge 8 bucks for standard postage at least spring the cash for a cardboard CD box!

My apologies for the postage issue. Normally, they are wrapped in multiple layers of bubble wrap and more often than not additional cardboard as well. We've never had any postage problems (except for one particular case that no matter what we did to them they always ended up broken (Focal 8)). However, as we were desperately trying to get your order out before we closed the office we actually ran out of bubble wrap. I thought the two-three layers would have sufficed - evidently it did not.

If you'd like to contact me at sales@referencediscs.com.au I will refund the entire purchase price of that particular disc.

For the record, we offer free postage on all orders over $100 value and 9 times out of 10 use Couriers Please, however, again if we'd had to wait for courier pickup you would not have received your order in time, so we opted for Australia Post.

We have many, many happy customers and repeat business. You've had a disappointing experience unfortunately, but we'd be more than happy to assist you on your next order and make up for this experience.

Regards,
Marc

PS. to everyone else. We've managed to just about run all stock out over the last 4-5 weeks, which makes way for heaps of new titles when we re-open ~ 3 weeks.

Marc, thanks for the response. No need for a refund, just bad luck I guess and it was the Focal case which was cracked.

Back on topic, I have a Silverchair single disc for Tomorrow. It has a track on it called Blind which has an awesome bass line. It has an excellent range of low frequency which will show up panel resonance you didn't even know you had. Plus it is a good test of the "musicality" of your sub.
