Big_valven is right about budget dsp. minidsp is good value for money.
I never seen this thing before so no comment. Based on my experience, Bit One is good if you can afford it.
I have been building competition car since 2003. I consider myself to be experienced and skilled system builder.

From what I saw, minidsp is a great little board with tons of feature. Still unknown to me is its performance. How stable is the system is questionable.
BitOne is made for those with cash and knowledge. I would consider minidsp as a poor man BitOne. For those who need functionality but not enough cash.

A car is as good as it's driver..... having said that, I think you better spend sometime tuning and installing your car.
making this kind of argument won't improve your tuning skill. building up a car does. Use what ever you are happy with.
Try to use it optimally. at the end, you are the one who draw a conclusion in your own mind. Cyber forum is all about opinion.
I don't like your idea doesn't mean I am wrong.

It is your hard earned cash. spend it in the way that make you feel happy. don't buy bitone If you think it is overly priced.
From what i have seen from spec sheet, BitOne will beat it any day of the week. The only time i could recommend thing like minidsp is a) when a person got very tight budget b) I am in someway affiliate with the distribution channel of this product. Otherwise the king of budget processor is Bitone. I am talking about competition quality gears here. It is where BitOne almost fall short. Anything lesser than that I would rather not wasting my time.
