I think the deletion of it is a good thing, Alpine, Clarion, Eclipse, JVC etc etc don't seem to need this on the PCB
So they have. It's now a poly switch, so basically a circuit breaker that resets itself.

I can confirm Pioneer have told us that particular model is included in the 2010 line up and will be released within the coming months.
I can also say that MEA will have the first sample for an exclusive review, and that there will be a special exclusive offer for MEA members and MEASQ competitors to purchase this model through selected outlets.

There will be an official press release outlining the above next week. :)

There is a lot of speculation on price, and I'm trying to get a better idea for all you now.

Should arrive on my test bench at about the same time as the Clarion HX-D2 so it makes in an ideal counterpoint for comparison.
