Heya,

I am looking at some JBL 600GTi's that I may be able to get cheapish.
I was just wondering if anyone has any specs on them (pic below for identity).
I cannot seem to find any, although I only searched for a bit.

Basically I was wondering if they would be better than my OZ's (6.5" Matrix Elite's).
I only really need midbass/mids up to around 800hz, where my 'guides take over. Do you think these would have better midbass performance?

I have no issues with my Oz Audios and love them to bits, just always had a soft spot for the GTi's. I do not want to waste my money though, to get no increase in quality/perfomance.

Any opinions are appreciated.

My GTi's aren't as old as those ones but there still awesome!

Sorry I don't have anything constructive to add to this thread besides, get the JBL's!

Total Damping (Qt): 0.55
Equivalent Volume of Compliance (Vas): 0.455 cu. ft. (12.9 liters)

The Anarchy mids ;)
Details are at the bottom of my sig.

Why would I recommend these? As I was discussing with another member on these forums, they are a dedicated midbass driver. You want midbass, you'll get it and nothing more with these babies. The Oz mids are one of your best choices (top 3 actually) for a 2 way setup. If anything, they'd suit a horn driver well, I'd imagine. Dual mids would give you a little more dB up front to keep up with the audible spectrum that those horns put out.

Otherwise, best shot would be to do a nice 8" driver. Or a Dynaudio 7" would do the job.

oh ye, mmm, they do look nice.

Around how much would one be looking at landed for 2? I would imagine around A$200 including postage?

When do you get yours, would prefer a real opinion from someone here than hearsay :)

Well, mine have been ordered. They are a month away (hopefully). But per driver, it works out to $135. So 2 drivers are $270 and your shipping ($25) gives you a total of $295.
Why so expensive? Because the distributors haven't bought them in bulk, so any order is going to be stung with shipping costs and whatever. Some time after mid year, they are looking at bringing in a huge shipment of them and that'll drop the price right down.

BUT, I couldn't wait for them ;) I'll do a full review on them for the forums. I'll even run them up against my G&S Designs mids :)
