Waiting on waveguides from Poland before I can start building the boxes - need to measure final dimensions for them...
Been 3 months now, and still waiting :'(
Sadly i've been told "garuanteed delivery in up to 6 months". Not happy to say the least :(

Yeah cept I left them at work today...
I guess it'll be a project for the weekend - mount the compression drivers to the waveguides, run the mids free air, and have a listen :P

Then find some poor sucker to make me the boxes :)

Woot, this will be nice. If you finish them before nationals you can bring them up for everyone to have a listen and use them as a nice set of PA speakers. :PAnt

Hah Ant, finish before nationals?! I guess it is a possibility seems I won't be building them:P

You're welcome to come down for a listen once done, but sadly there wouldn't be enough room in my car for me to take these anywhere.

Well I have them here...
My only dilema is how do i mount the compression driver to the waveguide?
It's a 2 bolt type, but there's not enough room to get a screw in between the waveguide and compression driver.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Pics to come...

The only excuse for passive crossovers is their low cost. Their behavior changes with the signal level dependent dynamics of the drivers. They block the power amplifier from taking maximum control over the voice coil motion. They are a waste of time, if accuracy of reproduction is the goal.

Is there enough room for a nut? or even better 2? Get some rod, thread it into the comp driver and cut it to the right length so sticks through the mounting plate of the waveguide, and have the nut already there to screw into. Ant
