Listen to Hybrid Audio or Crescendo in Newcastle?

I am considering upgrading my front stage from my Dynaudio 240gt and wondered if anyone around Newcastle has a pair of 2 or 3 ways I could listen to.

What don't you like about the Dyns? The Crescendo's are very nice, a more laid back sounding speaker. That HAT's again nice speakers. Really not sure what you will gain or loss from the Dyns

Theres a set of 2 way Crescendos i installed in a car in Sydney. Opus 8.6 and set up actively.

I want a new 3 way set and like the Hybrids I reckon. Will offload the 240GT's the extra MW170's and Titanium elite set shortly.

A friend of mine just went from a 3-way DYN to the L631-3 from Hybrid Audio. Great improvement all around.

If you get the opportunity to listen to a 3 way set of Crescendos, id highly recommend it.

I have my Opus 9.9 3 way set here except theyre not installed yet :( "Perfection takes time" is my motto ;) haha

I think one of the boys at Fhrx will have his set of Crescendo 3 ways in his car very soon though, hes in the process of doing it now as far as im aware. Would most certainly be worth the drive, and im sure with some slight arm twisting, Marty would be willing to let you listen to his Focal Be 3 ways too. :)

I am very keen on the HAT 841 but no passive croccover may cause issues. Running the 8 active is fine but would want a passive set up for the 4 and tweeter. (at least for now)
Opus 9.9 - no such problem but I want to be sure............

There will be a 3 Way crossover available shortly for the HAT's:

If you can run your 8" active, then you can already get the 4" 2 Way Component Set with a 2 Way crossover - L41-2x:

note the passive crossover for the crescendo9.9 only acts on the midrange and tweeter, you still need to use either amp or headunit crossovers on the midbass

I could have swore there was another post in this thread the other day... But has now been deleted??? What the?

Spyne is in fact correct. Crescendo 3 ways must be set up in a Semi Active fashion, using active crossover on the midbass, and the supplied passive on the midrange and tweeter.
