So, I just dropped by Elite Car Sound to get some tweaking done and heard that Scott and the Guys won't be there for the comp - not that they really need to be.
If you guys need some help with setup let me know and I'll arrange to get there early.

Yeah, Scott (the owner) and us (+other shop owners) set the dates early this year, but he's had a wedding come up, and the other employees are unavailable too.

kinda new to this all but i am interested in competing in the db drag to see how my system meters.
i was just wondering if someone can point me in the right direction or explain exactly what happens and what class im in.
i am running 1 dd3515 1 dd m1b 1200 @ 1ohm and only running 1 batt in the front, what class does this put me in.
and lastly what are we allowed to play, tones? or just music.

I'm no SPL guru, but that sounds like a Street B car. Your class will be determined/confirmed on the day by our judge. We're following dBDrag rules, so you can read up on them: http://www.dbdragrac...au/dBRules.aspx

Well I think i'll pop my comp cherry & head down for a run in the sq side of things. I have no idea what to expect & don't think i'll do too well but it could be fun & hopefully i'll learn something & meet some new people.

Thanks "Data_mine" for that info, i was just wondering wether i have to pre register which would pose a problem because i am living up in jindabyne so will just be coming down for the day.

1) Any SPL guys who could help me out, i am fairly sure i will be competing in street b and im not sure on what i am allowed to play (tones?), and how the metering goes. Are you meter on the highest Db you can achieve in 30 seconds or the average of the 30 seconds.

2) And i have been told you are not allowed to be in the car but i thought this was only for the extreme guys, so in street b am i allowed to sit in my car?

Thanks for any help as this will be my first comp and sorry for so many questions.

Even if you're under 140dB it's a good idea to have hearing protection.
