Hi guys, since my last thread got locked before I had the chance to say thanks to all those who were able to construtivly help with my questions.. Te owner of the car and I have Been discussing things mentioned in the thread and looks like he has managed to increase the dynamic without dhanging volume..

I had almost given up due to all the hair pulling I was doing but when people like Luke (your input was awresome) who is the judge in question was so adimant that it could be done, made us do a rethink..

I will have a listen and a tune today.. I had hit a brick wall and the sq oldboys managed to convince me that it could be done..
spyne sydmonster Riley datamine Marc and I can't remember the others bUt massive thanks guys..

I never intended the thread to turn to crap, and I hope in any of my posts I didn't offend anybody..

Cheers for the help guys!!

The amplifier has a small packet of 'warning smoke.' When you do silly things to it, it lets out the warning smoke to make you think something is damaged when it isn't.

Of course something is damaged! There was smoke!

glad we could help. there was no offence taken in the thread, it was closed purely because the discussion had ran it's course and was starting to go round in circles.

SQ certainly is different than SPL (subjective v objective) and it does take ALOT of learning and practical experience to "get it".

Glad to see another one come over from the "dark side". lol

getting dynamics at low volume was tricky, but even I learned it.. had a 'a-ha' moment a couple of years ago.

At least now we know why your system is so 'dynamic' at low volumes br85, thanks for sharing :good:

Actually I'm kinda cut that my P90 has no "loudness" function to speak of, it's a perfectly legitimate way of getting better sound at low listening levels (Study "Fletcher-Munson" curves if you want to know why I can claim this while most of the sq world "poo-poo"s ANY use of loudness buttons)
