I'd prefer them to be smaller but my new pods are 70mm across the tweeter section which will accomodate the Piccolos which are 67mm. Something as big as the Supremos for example, as nice as they may be, is out of the question.

T3's will be too large, given the 70mm max size.
T1R would be the ideal size at 68mm OD but I don't think they would react well given the mounting angle.. Crescendo tweeters like to be "on-axis" to the listener.. Winno's reflected method could really screw with their response.
Could be worth a try though, given their quite good pricing..
PM me if you want more info, Winno.

Yes, the tweeters will sit off axis significantly however, the point of reflection (on the windscreen) is on axis, just 180 degrees (almost) out of phase. This has been accounted for by adjusting the relative/acoustic phase of the mid and tweeter combo to match that of the mid basses in the doors.
First listening was done without realising the impact that correct phase would have. It's only recently when seriously starting to listen carefully and tune the system properly that I realised the very audible difference this can make up this high in the audio range.
Mark, given time, I may well be in touch with you about the T1R's or Piccolos at some stage. At this stage though, I'm still leaning toward Morel but mostly because the Crescendo name for me is an unknown.

There is an openness about the Supremo and Piccolo that is hard to match (not saying there are not better - you would have to be the judge of that).
The MT24LE is not available as a separate tweeter at this time, I can say though that the MT24LE has been built to emulate the Supremo and Piccalo in performance, but in a more compact chassis.

I bought my Elate 6 set from you when I was at Paul Money Car Stereo in NZ some 6 years ago now. I finally got them up and running about 2years ago only after coming home to Oz. I have been very happy with them to the extent that it would take some very serious convincing and no doubt substantially more in dollars, to look elsewhere now.
For this reason, and as stated, despite not using the Piccolo's full range, it's looking like Piccolo's will be the go. And if I didn't have my VQ Infinity subs, without a doubt, I would have the Morel subs too.
