I'd like to hear from anyone running these splits or have heard them or even better, judged them.

I have found some old threads on these splits but couldn't find much from anyone who has had a good listen of these splits.

I want to run them in SQ comps and I am also looking at Crescendo Opus 8.6, Vibe Space 6 and Eclipse SC8365. Any opinions on these splits will be appreciated and any suggestions of other splits will be great.

crescendo 8.6 are proven performers - have won quite a number of sq comps over the last two years here in VIC.
Vibe Space 6 i heard at last year's nationals and wasn't overly impressed.
Eclipse splits i haven't really heard - don't know of any competitors here in VIC running them.
the DDs i have heard briefly in Fudd's ute - amazing midbass, decent midrange and the highs weren't too bad. In terms of being competitive in SQ comps, not really sure based on my limited exposure.

Mine? I thought you said you liked them! :cray: lol...

Keep in mind i only had the Space6 midbass (not the full set, so it wouldnt be fair to write off the whole set) ;) Midrange was Rainbow Profi Vanadium MR100, and tweeter was Total Recoil kevlar dome.

Definitely another vote for Crescendo Opus 8.6 (or 9.6) though! :D

I'm sure I have seen people with these splits listed in there signature.

I am definitely considering Crescendo Opus 8.6 though.


Any other suggestions???

judged a car with the DDs in round 2 of the ACT series, it was quite nice, as has been said the midbass was pretty good, the highs were quite laid back, but seemed to roll off quite early up high and felt like it was missing some detail. Though this may have been in the tuning.

Out of that list my pick would definitely be the Crescendo, heard them at Nationals last year and absolutely loved them, can't recomend them enough
