Hi guys!

Not sure if this is the place to post this but I couldn't find a stolen section. If this is not the right place i'd appreciate it if the moderators could move the thread.

Bit annoyed with the kind individual that decided that they needed my stuff more than I did and am keen to find them but would just be happy to get the gear back...

They took the face plate (yes, just the face plate) off my Alpine CDA-7990R. This isn't an easy thing to replace and the unit that I have along with the stolen faceplate are now useless as i'm pretty sure that the market for stolen F#1 Status faceplates is kind of small.....

They also took my PDX 4.150 amplifier which i'm less concerned about.

The stuff was stolen from Palmerston in the ACT.

Any information would be appreciated and if the person who took it is reading this I would appreciate it if you could just leave the faceplate on the windscreen or front step of the house no questions asked. You can keep the amp, CDs and other stuff that you took, and an $800 amp makes for a pretty good haul if you ask me.

Anyone with any info can PM me through this site.

Oh, and if anyone has a CDA-7990R for sale i'm very interested....

Thanks for your time.

Mick

If you haven't already Mick, put it up on mobileelectronics.com.au, they're all about car stereo. And a very likely place someone will try to offload high end gear.

That sucks to hear!

Was it during the night with the car on the street or something more aggressive? I'll keep my ears out, might be worth going around the alpine dealers in the area and letting them know, chances are the people that stole the faceplate won't know what they have and will use a reverse story and try buy the HU cheaply.

Sorry to hear that. I have a F1 faceplate. But Shiny Car (Richard) already reserve it from me last week. Once my 7990 molding is done by FHRX I will sent it to Shiny. Because Shiny slightly cosmetically damage his faceplate and he is very uncomfortable about the look and appearance. Shiny may sell his faceplate to you if I sent mine to him.

Thanks for the offer but it turns out that the new faces aren't actually as dear as i expected so i'll get a new one. I've replaced it with a CDA117E. i think that i'll keep the 7990 for a car that doesn't get left on the street.... :)

Wholy crap, how did I pull that one off! lol

For some reason it was showing at the top of the page so I thought it was recent

I've had a few too many drunk nights, so I actually rarely drink these days. I did however spend 4 hours rewiring my boot and adding an amp - was getting sick to death of having no subbass! Then I spent another 3 hours tuning, and another 3 hours listening - im such a nerd :P

But anyways enough of my accidental thread digging...

*goes back to the cave*
