well thats a bit rude. It would of course depend on the cable people have. I'll admit the shok 0ga didn't really fit the 50mm terminals properly,
I thought it was a perfect reaction to your trolling, i look forward to the day i can log on an not have to see you behaving like a tool.
Doug all the 0 gauge i have used in the past has been too hard to get into a 50mm lug, 70mm is they way to go, i found 50mm to be more suited to jaycar 2 gauge

hey you could always block me Sam!
Or you could stop making argumentative statements.
It was stated that 70mm lugs work, many have used them successfully and yet you still try force your point.

I'm not being argumentative, I tried using 70mm lugs on some cheap 0ga, and it didn't work.
for this reason, all I'm saying is that people need to choose the right terminals for their cable.
70mm may work, it didn't for me, so I've always used 50mm, this isn't being argumentative, its stating the obvious.

If everyone else says they can use 70mm lugs fine, and you can't, perhaps you are doing something wrong.I'm not being argumentative, I tried using 70mm lugs on some cheap 0ga, and it didn't work.

its stating the obvious.
I gathered the obvious is that 90 percent of people on here have succeeded with 70mm lugs and only used them after 50mm lugs failed.
Point being i dont think new people with Hex Crimpers want to have to choose a lug to go with a specific brand of cable so 70mm seems like the best bet.
perhaps you are doing something wrong.
Not stripping the jacket? lol.
cable of various brands. 70mm were way too big.
What brands would they happen to be? Im intrigued since others seem to have tried alot of the mainstream, and i think Sorin used Knu Konceptz along with Suswgn aswell.

perhaps I am, and I'm more than happy for someone to show me what I'm doing wrong.
according to Sorins thread, he was using 66mm^ cable, so that would explain the 70mm terminals.

cheap stuff?
as I said before though, the Shok Industries cable was slightly too big for the 50mm^, but, I never actually tried it with the 70mm terminals, I only ever tried the cheap stuff with 70mm lugs, and it really didn't work.

Cheap stuff still has labeling! Jaycar, DNA, Sony?
Or should we all assume you really have tried enough to be able to debate this?

they all fit into the 50mm terminals perfectly.
as I said, it'll depend on the cable as to which terminals suit best.
hang on Luke, I'm not debating anything, all I'm saying is that the cheaper 0ga cable fits into the 50mm terminals perfectly.

I can vouch for the jarcar 0gauge fitting in TIGHTLY into the 50mm lugs. but it was tight
thats how it should be to crimp properly
you can also vouch for the Jaycar 0ga not fitting into the DD Z1 terminals

Interesting question.
To be completely honest im hoping that with this continued behaviour he will be banned.
Why has he not been banned? Serious question? I cannot really think of any threads or posts that have in any way contributed to this forum
I seems all he is here to do is cause conflict and disputes between members, in particular SA members.

Its basically just an mic on steroids that is supposed to be accurate to 186Db
They claim a flat response across the board apart from a very slight resonance at 2kHz, and as I ordered the mic for under 100Hz testing mainly they more extensively tested the mics calibration under that.
The calibration sheet it came with shows 9 tests, one every 10 Hz. All are spot on the correct value.
I also ended up landing the Mic for $91US. You then have the choice of how you read the levels, you can read them with a decent true rms multimeter and convert the voltage to a Db.
They recommend (as I am doing) to purchase "True RTA" software for $99US, which (with in conjunction with your computer) will then let you use the Mic for Db, or spectrum analyzing and oscilloscope to an extent.
I will end up doing a massive review on the product, and organise some B2B tests with a termlab.
More info to come..
Ohh also took under a week to come once payment cleared!!!! from the US
