MEASQ Round 5 - Finals
A quick shot early in the morning before we got started.

We kept running out of BBQ supplies for some reason.

Jess stepped up her Show display with great results.

James' Show display now suddenly only second best. Giant A-pillar builds aren't stealth.

John's Show display has always been eye catching.

Aarons' 200SX, not entered in Show class, but with a bit of effort could do well.

dBDrag eliminations/finals always draws a crowd.

As does Billys' SPL Barina.

Kenwood Raffle WinnerEllis Dickson
He's been lucky in our competitions, winning the prize at BDL earlier in the year too.
Congratulations James (the name of the game is to be in everything - give everything a go), we didn't get a Most Trophy's trophy, but then that would've given you 7 and that would've been just silly.
The Winners
Steve brought his A game to round 5, and reaped the rewards, congratulations on the massive improvement. Steve also won Judges Choice for the judges favourite car on the day.

James' Grand Champion

We had Jess' daughter Ella draw the Kenwood raffle winner.

Ellis with his shiny new Kenwood double-din DVD headunit.

http://www.datamine....010/MEAACTRND5/As a wrap up for the year, we've had a very successful year, strong competition across all classes, growth in numbers, some new events (combined dyno day, official dBDrags). We lost Matt back to Mexico (aka Victoria), I missed an event due to being in the USA, but everything still came together, we've had our core officials James, Warren, and myself, but we've also had some great helpers at each event big thanks to Chris Winter, Michael and Pat Foley our ring in judges (Chris travels from Sydney to help us), Shaun has tended the BBQ on occasion, several of you have helped Wazza run the SPL, by installing sensors, handing out discs and ear protection etc. Thanks it all helps things move along smoother.
Thanks to the shops that have let us hold events with them.
Autotech, providing a location and dyno as well as our first evening/night competition, which was a raging success.
Audiotech, a first for this year, hope to work with you again next year.
BDL, always a great event at BDL in Fyshwick. Adam is also a competitor
Elite Car Sound, last day problems prevented Scott from attending his own event, but it went ahead without issue. And there's always a heap of competitors sporting Elite Car Sound stickers.
Finally and importantly, thanks to the sponsors that have supported us this year, without them we'd not be able to provide all the prizes, the raffle, and quality trophies that we do, let alone run a trailer.
Focal, our major sponsor this year they've subsidised the trophies all year, makers of great speakers and amps be sure to listen to Focal gear when you next want to upgrade.
Kenwood, supplied us some cash and the head unit we raffled, and through Pat helped build the PA system we have.
The shops above, they supply their time, space, electricity, prizes, etc. so our events have somewhere to run.
Planning for next year will start soon, we'll be in contact with the shops and sponsors to talk about next year, and we'll get back to everyone with details of next years series. Be sure to check back here regularly, and check your email (if we have it) for announcements.
National Finals are on the weekend 30th October up in Newcastle, if you want to see some of the best cars in Australia competing and enjoy the massive social event that finals always is check out the details here:
