Simple really.

I've decided to make it two competition classes (third Open class added)

Both classed allow a single 8inch Jaycar, papercone woofer (Open allows any single 8inch woofer)

http://jaycar.com.au...er&form=KEYWORD

Class A
behind the rear seat, below the window line
unlimited power
windows and doors closed
seats in stock position, but can be folded
TL sensor on the windscreen in the "normal" position

Class B
behind the B pillar, below the window line, can obviously be on the back seat.
unlimited power
windows and doors closed
rear seat can be removed, but front seats must remain but can be folded
TL sensor on the windscreen in the "normal" position

Open Class (I really have no idea what this point in this class is, but people have asked for one)
behind the rear seats, below the window line, or in the trunk
unlimited power
windows and doors closed
seats in stock position, but can be folded
TL sensor on the windscreen in the "normal" position
any single 8inch woofer!
if anyone from Class A beats you in Open, you will be banned from MEA :)

its just for fun, so numbers can be done at any competition, as long as its done in a class where the rules meet the rules set here, and perhaps some video/photos of the setup during the run as evidence.

most importantly, have fun!

Bobo, hurry up and get loud! :silly:

and if anyone has any question about the rules, feel free to ask here, as obviously there is room for modifications and discussion.

Results will be updated as scores are set, there is no "winner" its all just for fun.

Results:

Class A
Big Valven - 2001 Holden Barina - 137.2dB @ 60Hz

Class B
Bobo/Stefan - 130.0dB

Open Class

do you mean at a time?

or how many are you allowed to destroy?

Both classed allow a single 8inch Jaycar, papercone woofer.

yes, I meant to specify that, but forgot.

but any competition you went to to get metered would only allow that frequency range anyway.

That is a very good possibility, however ive been working 14 hours a day lately + over 2hours travelling. then uni on the days im not working. :(

I might do one of Big V's patented 2 night installs..

Also the most power I can get at 8ohm is 250Rms... from the response 2ch.
All my mono's are useless. even AJ's re amp will only give me 200-250... lol

I was considering using the Z1?
it should only do about 900watts into 8 ohms.

that would be a "streetA" build ren, apart from the 2nd battery, there's nothing stopping you from building it, and posting your numbers but this being a "control" class, where the woofer is a constant, there really is no place for a custom woofer with 10kw on it...

I don't either.

but people keep asking, so whatever.

they can do what they like, I'll be paying very little attention to the results from the other subs anyway.
