event: Cops and the Community car show

where: Kembla Grange Race Course, Princess Hwy, Kembla Grange (1hour sth of sydney)

When: Sunday 28th of November

Time: 9am Start 3pm finish

Entry: $40 for both the show and shine and SPL comp. flat feee

Classes are:
- Street Sedan
- Street Novice
- Street 1
- Street 2
- Street 3
- Street Pro

Further Info: the last frankies event to be held drew some 58 competitors for the SPL alone and some 20 car had to be turned away. this event they are hoping it will be larger.

the volvo will be there on display looking to finally break the 170 barrier.

there will be plenty of show cars to see on the day, with some awesome displays and demos from the local police put on and various other things to see and enjoy while attending the show.

all Proceeds from the event are donated to Headway Illawarra and organisation that aids and provides help and support for people that have suffered serious head injuries due to car accidents.

but anyway hope to see some of yas there.

the day had bad weather roll in and it was drizzling for the whole day and the show was called and postponed until the 28th of november.

they decided to still run the sound off for a few hours. 28 sound off entrants had decided to turn up and brave the bad weather.
i havent got the scores but as soon as i can i will post them up.

the barina hit a 157.6db and the volvo did a 168.3 and dropped db's due to big air leaks and blew out the passenger side window. it snapped all of its screws and blew the 20mm perspex out of it. so now i have to fix that before final battle now.

score will be put up as soon as i can get them. and thanks to all those that decided to brave the conditions and still turn up to make it some sort of event.

Looks like you're definetely at the point where you guys are finding the weak points of the install Billy - first the Baffle, now windows.

I hope you can see that there's a massive compliment in that - Being at the level of sound pressure where the car is generating so much pressure that structural things are letting go before the equipment does, that's the sign of the box doing what it was designed to do and generating big pressure - and an experienced and seasoned competitor pushing into new territory, which is a massive feat in the Aussie SPL scene - exciting stuff in my opinion.

yeah bloody weather oh well i will make the trip again for the next one, the little micra was not at her best for the comp not sure what was up with her but i will find out

ah i dont design walls or help with designs of walls for other people.

this event was re scheduled due to bad weather last month. it was still held but due to the show being postponed we are running another sound off also for the new event date. even with a pooring rain there were some 20 cars. with a sunny day we are hoping for the usual great turnout for the event

hope to see many there.

See you all there!!! These events rock!! I think I might have to move to sydney, we just had autosalon last weekend, now this on sunday and next weekend is teh frankies 1 day sale!!!! Man I need a holiday!
