Been keen on a CarPC for a while (hate touch screen headunit front ends) running Win7 Media Centre customised, but the one thing holdingme back is the touch screens.

All the carpc stores, ebay, etc all seem to be selling nasty out of date resistive touch screens.

Does anyone know of somewhere selling bonded capacitive touch screens in 7-8"? Only ones I've found are overlays to replace the capacitive screen yourself. Extra points if it's DVI or HDMI instead of VGA.

Or is the only option to get something like the HP Slate and mount the dock to the dash? I'd rather something a little faster than this but resistive touch screens are a deal breaker.

I've been searching on and off for the last 12 months or so, and the only things I have found are also the DIY overlays. Over at mp3car there is a lengthy thread on the subject and they've all only found the overlays as well.

If you do end up finding anything post it up :)
