MEASQ 2011 Victorian Series
Round 1 - AUSTRALIA DAY

Where: Tabcorp Park - 2 Ferris Road, Melton.

What: Round 1 of the MEASQ Victoria Series of MEASQ

When: AUSTRALIA DAY - January 26th.

Competitor Arrival & Registration: 9:15am - 9:30am
Upon arrival, you will be greeted at the main entrance by an MEASQ Offical (in an orange high-vis MEASQ vest).
A competitor sticker will be placed on your headlight, and you will be instructed where to proceeed (event is taking place on the horse racing track itself).
Park your car neatly inline with other MEASQ competitors vehicles, and proceed to the white marquee ASAP to place your entry.

Competition & Judging Commences: 10:00am - ABSOLUTELY NO LATE ENTRIES ACCEPTED (No exceptions as entrance gates will be closed at 10am).

Novice (No trophies)
Intermediate Class
Advanced Class
Show Class

Trophies (in each class)
Winner | Runner Up

Additional Awards:
Judges Choice Award
Encouragement Award
Best Australia Day Theme (this can be awarded for the car, the entrant themselves or both)

ryzaa - with the early start time, we would *guess* the SQ judging will finish around 2:30-3:00 (depending how many cars are entered).

Thanks Spyne, I might call up the golf course and see if I can get in for a quick 9 holes late evening. May aswell get out there while I am up there..

But that is only if everyone decides to leave and not let me listen to their cars late into the evening...

Which brings me to another thing, how happy are people at these events to share the sq with everyone?

VERY. Some of the cars worth listening to;
shiny_car (richard, black alfa), Frankston Car Audio (mark f, white civic), frogslapper (brian f, maroon commodore), fury (danny, navy bora), pulse-r (simon, silver pulsar), myself (adam, grey focus), nemesis5000 (brian s, navy commodore), sierra (alan, red falcon), jay_318 (jay, champagne? bmw)of course there are plenty others too.

from the list above there's a few judges - we can be a bit harder to track down as we're in and out of cars all day, but we're all more than willing to let people have a listen.

You're more than welcome to listen to the FCA Civic, ryzaa..
Just don't expect to be told all our SQ secrets (well not all at once, anyway!)
Same goes for anyone else that is interested in hearing our TEAM FCA cars.. you only need to ask

Spyne's list includes some National and State winning cars, so it is definitely worth following..

My first event!!!

I got the Monday and Tuesday off work... Monday will be recovery from Rainbow Serpent...

Tuesday will be pretty much my whole audio Install... lol...

.... look at my empty boot and piles of mdf in my garage... I'm going to have to go backyard blitz on this one!

I will none the less compete whether my car is 100% complete or not... as a wise man said in another thread... points picked up now can help later down the track , Purely no reason not to compete!

Ouch, must be some 'bit' of a prang!

Yeah, would have been doing 40-50km/hr when I lost traction in the wet, over compensated and went into the side of a parked car...

Looked a lot worse than it was...Front bar torn off and bonnet buckled, windscreen cracked. Airbags went off...pretty damn scary as it was my first ever car accident in 14/15 yrs of driving...Other than a cut on my left wrist and some bruising, I'm alright but was pretty shook up by it all.

On the bright side...I had some work that needed to be done to the front end anyway and would have cost me a lot more than just the $500 excess I have to pay now...
