What headunit will you be running?? What do you want to spend on amplifiers? Have you looked at sound deadening / sealing doors etc?

The price for the sub and speakers is just under $1100 on the price list, I might have to downgrade some of the components a little if the price gets too out of control.

When your spending significant money on speakers (which you look keen on doing), buying a headunit with decent tuning capabilities is an important factor. I just had a look on the Alpine website and the CDE-126BTi doesn't have a feature called 'Time Alignment', which can be rather important when it comes to getting the most out of your expensive speakers!
You always end up having to make a compromise in equipment somewhere...you could blow 2 grand on just the amps if you so desired! It can get out of hand very quickly. Don't be afraid to have a look in the second hand section on here also; I've bought several key components of my system from there! Infact, everything in my car apart from my crescendo's and the audison amp is second hand
One last thing I'd be keen on doing is having a listen to a few different setups - there is a comp on in Victoria on the 27th of March - I'd head along....heck, maybe even compete with your current system so you get a good idea on what to build on
Good Luck! I hope my ramblings were somewhat useful.

You'll need to factor in a dash kit. (Lancer one goes for around $150-$200 last I heard)
You'll also need to factor in an enclosure for the sub. A custom made Fibre glass one could easily run you up around $500. A prebuilt one, cheeper but may not be ideal for the Ultimo.
As to Amps, space would be a factor for you. (I've been in an ES Colt, not much space I know)
The Alpine PDX series might suit as they're a small format Class D but there are probably other options, I'm not too up to speed on small format amps, and they might be a bit Expensive.
Another option would be to get one amp to run the whole system. (eg: I run a single 5 Channel Polk amp to power my front speakers and Subs) The caveat here, is again cost. (my Polk cost me just shy of $1000)
In this same vein, if you get the 4ohm Ultimo you could get away with one 4 channel amp. Use two channels to run the splits in the front and the remaining 2 bridged for the sub.
Certainly as said above, go and check out the upcoming comp - don't be shy, get in there and ask people if you can listen to their car.
I also second taking a trip to FCA or Phatt.
