Would you fit a 12" or 10" Subwoofer in this situation and why? My car is a 2006 Ralliart Colt hatchback. The sub will be located in the boot directly behind the back seats, which is literally in the cabin of the car. I had already decided on the 200wrms Phoenix Gold Subwoofer and originally chosen a 10" as this seemed to be the way to go for a small car.. but a few peoples opinons seem to be that a 12" is better value for money and will have a broader range of low end frequency. What would be the pros and cons of the two different sizes other than the amount of space it takes up in my car?

Your help and opinions would be much appreciated!

A 12'' has more cone area, so has more efficiency than a 10''.
As far as how they sound, thats more up to the box youve built rather than the size of the sub itself.

If space is a concern, it depends on the woofer, but most likely a smaller woofer over a larger one. Its the relationship with the box. You're more likely to get louder and lower with a 10 in a proper enclosure, then a 12 in an enclosure too small....
