I'll start with a series of photo's i have on my phone of crap cars with either crappy plates or stickers.

Why do people get license plates that simply state their car's model and colour?
Anything with a unit sticker, especially when combined with other retard stickers.

what i hate is people who have no idea about anything to do with anything and think installing their own car audio is a good idea, seriously why spend $3000 on a stereo then go hmmm, cant be too hard to install, il have a go at it... before breaking everything? then you wonder why it doesnt work and take it to a pro who has to spend hours untangling your horrible mess and figureing out wtf you were trying to do
i dont even know what this mess is but it was in a $70000+ land rover

and a nice new top of the line viper alarm... the wires are black for a reason, extending them with coloured ones kinda defeats the point... also if you dont own pliers or a soldering iron dont try install it at home!

also if you dont own a screwdriver you cant install your own speakers, these didnt even have scratches on the basket from attempting to put screws in, wtf?

its really not that difficult to cut all of the head unit wires the same length and neatly tie them up after you connect them all... and dont even get me started on twist+tape

then we come to grommets, yes they are there for a reason, no you cant bypass them to run power wires to your caravan plug in your brand new territory, it will burn to the ground.

and last but not least... props to you for using a fuse on the power wire to your 4 channel in your S15, but if the fuse is thicker than the wire going into it it kinda defeats the purpose:

Can't afford a new roof for your smart roadster? just use garbage bags!

Intelnode's (Langa's knows who it is:P) younger brother must have had an exam at the same time as me.

Honestly Sam, I'm not finding that in the slightest bit funny and I'm almost taking offence.
Please remove it, I don't see any humor in it.
Oh yeah, I went there. MOFO
Edit: I'll pop my collection of Taxis with chev badges and defect stickers up tomorrow.....bahahaha

fully sick shopping list:

horrid tan vinyl/paint retrim on some of the interior panels:

another case of speakers in the doors with no signs of screws ever holding them in, this time fully sik-by-ninez:

and the piece-de-resistance?

this install was done by a very reputable shop in Adelaide that has been a big player in getting SA comps off the ground so im very dissapointed to say the least... i dont know the full story so im not going to name names just yet but PM me if you want to know
if the shop that did it happens to see this id love to hear your side of the story!
the car is a WH statesman, a bit thrashed but you get that in noarlunga lol, the stereo consisted of alpine type R splits in the factory spots in the front, matching coaxials in the parcel shelf and the factory 2 ohm coaxes in the rear doors, all hooked up to the kenwood head unit... i have no idea how the head unit still worked with the rear speakers paralled giving it probably 1.3ohms ish
the parcel shelf speakers were mounted pretty solidly on the factory spacers with 8"-6.5" adapter plates, but the grills weren't right and weren't even close to straight:

after pulling the head unit out i found one of the biggest messes ive seen:

the kenwood loom was crimp connected onto ISO plugs, which were then plugged into a factory-iso adapter, the factory wiring had been hacked aswell and was crimp connected back together:

now to the sub amp, it was an "1800w" kenwood monoblock, screwed to the back of the fold down ski port, but was too big for the ski port to fold back up and close, it had 3x 30a fuses but was only running an 8ga power and earth, and the speaker terminals were bridged together for some crazy reason (the short speaker wires in this pic used to be joined together)

heres the 8ga fuseholder cable tied onto the battery wiring:

the sub was a dual 4ohm pioneer 12" wired to 2ohm in the prefab pioneer box and was rok strapped to the car to stop it sliding, the straps werent screwed in properly though:

and here it is after i spent all day pulling it all out and starting again...
first the head unit crap was cut out and the kenwood loom directly soldered and taped onto what was left of the stock wiring:

the stock rear speakers were disconnected and we sold the customer a 4 channel kenwood amp to run the type rs front and rear
then i ran some 4ga from the battery to the boot with a bracket made up to hold the fuse holder using a factory bolt:

the 4ga was then split into a 4ga to the monoblock and 8ga to the 4 channel under the back seat, with the speaker wires and RCAs neatly cable tied:

then i relocated the amps to the back of the seat, this is the 4 channel, the monoblock was a mirror image on the other side, i forgot to take a pic...

and finally re screwed the rock straps onto the sub box, cut of the 2ish meters of excess strap and screwed them back onto the car... a quick tune and it sounded and looked much better!
result = happy customer
