I'm looking for a very deep bass sub to place in a small enclosure in my boot, for predominantly classical music. My front splits are Hertz HSK 165s which have bass down to about 50 Hz (about G#1), and I would want the sub to take it down to C1 (about 32Hz) or even A1 (27.5Hz). I will be driving it with a Schneider 6000x monoblock x-class amp, so I want a sub which thrives on power (the 6000x does 520W RMS at 4 Ohms and 1350 RMS at 1 Ohm) with at least 2 dB headroom on top. Apart from sound quality, my biggest concern is the minimum size of sealed enclosure I need for the particular sub.

What is the largest (volume wise) enclosure you can fit ??

Maybe look at a Seas L26ROY or Peerless 835016 (XXLS)

I have heard a few installs with Mach5's IXL10 subwoofer. Very affordable, yet in 0.7cu ft, even less if heavily stuffed, is a VERY natural low frequency performer.

Otherwise - consider perhaps going for an infinite baffle setup if lows are your thing.
