I am after a nice wireless KB,

i have my main PC hooked up to the TV for HTPC action by day and a bit of gaming and photoshopping/desktop publishing by night.

at the moment i have a basic Logitech KB and a Microsoft X8 gaming mouse. (also a Logitech DiNovo Mini for HTPC duty)

but i want something a bit better in the KB area, bit more gaming suited and just nicer overall...

i did have a MS one i liked but i doubt ill see that one again :(

any suggestions?

i would have loved a Razer, love the clicky feel, but i dont want no wires!

Selling Fudd an amp (for a fraction of the real price) that had been returned by Autobarn Geelong which had been incorrectly used by AB Geelong and turned out to be faulty when Fudd started using it.
Whilst he was given a new amp after it could not be fixed, he never acknowledged any of the assistance given and bitches to this day about it.

Clicky?
So you like the old school raised keys type deal?
Not the modern flat, shallow, laptop type keys?
Do extra wanky hotkey things matter, or is it purely about the basic keys?

why wireless?
I like wireless mice, but keyboards always seem to sit around in pretty much the same place all the time
(and hate thinking about when I have to change batteries)
If you go for wired, the logitech Gseries are quite nice (the little display is surprisingly useful - even if just for clock - though
I was enjoying it as a RSS feed reader too)

you don't need wireless fuddles. just flip the keyboard over during special times and you wont have to worry about accidentaly gumming up the keys.

want wireless cause i dont sit near the PC box itself and the KB gets moved around the lounge a bit.

wires just mean more mess for the lounge room.

Selfdistruktor - i dont mind the flat laptop style keyboards, would be my second choice if i couldnt get a clicky key one (like the old honeywell/IBM ones of days gone by)

dont really need many wanky keys, volume etc would be handy i guess, but media work i use the DiNovo mini which has all that.

I did! i mentioned that twice :P

the DiNovo is awesome for general HTPC stuff and basic internet stuff, but for games and general typing its pretty crappy.

Dude..... dude...... duuuuuuuude...... XArmor U9W.

I also love mechanical keyboards, rather than membrane systems.
I dunno whether they're still around, but man i'd love one.
No multimedia / gaming / macro keys, though.

maybe consider a bluetooth KB too as it works for the PS3 if you have/get one of those.

Ordered a XArmor U9W http://ergogeek.com/...l-keyboard.html (not from that store, got it cheaper)

from what i found, its the only wireless mechanical keyboard i can find, has Cherry Brown switches, from what i have read they are a good middle ground between gaming and typing switches.

getting it and some other stuff shipped to a US postbox (stuff i couldnt get shipped direct) so it will prob be a couple of weeks before i see it :(
