Confirmed Orders

Me, Lance Karcher Foam Gun
TegBoy Clint, Foam Gun
Marc, Marc Lance Karcher
Sparkles Kirk, Lance Karcher and gerni
SUSWGN Kane, Lance Karcher
squareznboxez Daniel Foam Gun

I am in the process of ordering some products and have come across a source of High quality Profesional HP Foam Lance’s, So I thought I would post it up here and see what interest there is from other MEA members in order to get better buying power on more quantity’s.

For those of you that don’t know what I’m talking about, the foam lance is an attachment for your pressure washer that produces a very thick layer of foam on the surface of your car. This will aid in lifting the dirt and grime of the surface reducing the chance of scratches and swirls on your cars paint. (refer image & link below)

Anyone that is into detailing or conscience of using quality car care products will agree with me in saying these are a huge asset to your car washing arsenal, and a must have for the professional and or enthusiast.

Just before any one jumps on me, I have spoken with Marc about this and have his approval.

This is not a group buy, more of an opportunity to offer MEA members a pre purchase discount on a limited number of units that will be purchased. If there are enough members who are genuinely interested in buying a lance I will make further enquires as to what sort of discount I can pass on.

All orders will be directed to another website for purchase which will be posted at a later date if the interest is shown.

These style of Foam lance’s currently sell between $130 & $160, in most cases these prices are + pressure washer fitting and + Postage.

I would hope to get enough interest for 10+ units in order to gain a discount worth proceeding with.

My current estimate on price is around the $100 mark

The below Picture and link are for example only (random from Google Posted Image)

Posted Image

Those of you that have a genuine interest please pm me or post up in this thread your interest and type of pressure washer fitting attachment.

Again if the interest is shown I will pursue this and make an update in the next week or so with some more concise information on product and price.

Cheers Toad

Teg, Just received an email on the Gilmour Foamaster style gun, just working on pricing and supply.

For those of you that do not own a Pressure Washer there is still an option available.

The Gilmour Foamaster gun connects directly to your standard garden hose. Although the quality of foam is not the same as with a HP Foam lance, it is still a far better option than no foam.

Image and Vid below are example only.

For those that are interested can you please let me know what fitting to suit your pressure washer you require? I.E. Karcher bayonet, Bosch etc

Sparkles, I honestly don’t know anything about the QWasher product brand or quality. I am currently working with a couple of company’s out of Europe, and I have to take into consideration the other products I’m looking at.

I have dealt with one of the company’s based in Italy before and can vouch for the quality of there products.

The price I put up is purely an indicative figure indicating the higher end of the pricing; (to cover my ass) I would anticipate the price will come down if this moves forward. I hope to have some more confirmed pricing and info up in the next couple of days.

The main purpose of this thread was to gauge if there is enough interest from the members here for me to pursue negotiating a deal to pass on and hopefully help a few people out.

If this goes ahead I will work something out to supply a Wash product to go along with the lances.

Besides, this way you get to deal with me :D

Yeah thats cool - sorry didnt mean for it to sounds as "questioning" as I now read it - more just out of general interest "what makes x better than y" or vice versa.

I'm still interested in 1 (fitting TBA - most likely karcher) so I can compare the differences (which might be of interest to you too?)
I need to get a longer hose for the gerni though - 6 mtrs is NOT long enough! Need about 10-12 I think.

Very interested in the wash product - even to see how it goes in the standard nilfisk/gerni brand soap foam sprayer.

:good:

I'd be interested in one for a karcher.. we got one of the small ones from them, and it didn't work.. and we got a big one, and it worked.. but not great..

How much pressure does the gun put out? do you know? or is it just like a soft lather of foam kinda?
Does it have a knob on the top or somewhere that allows you to change how much foam you use? (eg high foam content, lower foam content, with more water, etc)
How much would postage be? assuming you'd be willing to post interstate.
any idea on how it'd compare to the official karcher brand one? Just out of interest, cause yeah, as above, ours worked, but we lost it ><

Cheers

Hi Ben, I’ll do my best to help answer your questions,

Firstly there are two types of Foam lances.

The first is designed to be attached to a pressure washer (HP Foam Lance); the second is designed to be attached to a standard garden hose (Gilmour Foam Gun).

If you refer to both of the You Tube clips you will see both styles in action, hopefully this helps explain a little better.

I am not sure what the output pressure is, I can tell you that the HP Foam Lance will shoot the foam out simular to a garden hose on full pressure and up to around 20ft. (at least over my neighbours fence and into his spa J ) A lot more than the standard Karcher one.

Input pressure is up to 2600psi

All of the models I’m looking at will have the air/mix ratio adjustment knob

No problem with postage interstate, cost will probably be about $15 for an express post bag.

Over the years I have had/used a lot of different brands and models, all of which leave the standard Karcher Foamer for dead. Even the Gilmour gun attached to a garden hose kills the Karcher Foamer. However in saying that it also depends on the wash products you are using in the Foamer, different soaps foam differently.

I hope that helps, if you have any other questions I’ll do my best to answer.

Keep in mind I will hope to have the pricing confirmed by the end of the week (looks like it will be under $100)

Because with you it normally relates to your kinky fetishes :thefinger:

The Lance bottles are 1L and most Foam wash should be diluted. You should only need to use aroud 200ml per wash.

Note I will have all details on products and prices listed Friday.

Well I had a very eventful day at work, a courier delivered some boxes which are part of my stock orders today, one of which were the Foam Lances.

So I spent the afternoon playing with foamy goodness.

Please be for warned these are addictive; I ended up foaming 3 cars 2 trucks and a bus.

I should have the foam wash some time Saturday and will post up the purchase link over the weekend.

Teg,Gilmours are still yet to arrive, (about a week away)

OMG
Just got back from Toads work.
These things are OFF THEIR FACES!
Definately worth the $.

Can totally see how these things beomce addictive.

Thanks for organising this mate!

Gunna wash my brothers navara tomorrow - It looks like mine looked a week ago (about 3 months road grime build up...)
If I remember I'll get some before and after shots.

Guys the fittings are top quality. I took my gerni attachment to make sure we had the right unit - fit like a glove with a much more positive connection than the plastic OEM units.

PS going to look on ebay now at karts... Don't tell the minister of war and finance...

Heya,

Just read this now, looks good. Does one still have to scrub the car with the foam on or after the foam has been washed off? Or do you just foam, rinse, and you car is clean?

Sorry for the igorant question, never used one of these before.

Hey Shizzle,

Honestly, it depends greatly on how well your paint is kept to begin with. After thorough testing my conclusion is, if you have a good quality wax or sealant you can get away with a touch less wash most of the time.

If you have unprotected paint letting the foam soak then hosing off will remove 60-70% of the dirt and road grime which is what creates the most damage in scratches and swirls. For example I would normally do a full bucket wash once a week, I can now foam and rinse 4-5 weeks before having to do a full bucket wash. (also keep in mind I'm a little OCD with my car)

Although I can say that even if you still have to hand wash during or after foaming, the hand wash will be much easier and no scrubbing.

So the end result depends you and your car care.

If I haven't explained correctly or you have more question just give me a call.

Revised dilution ratio, 50-100ml if more than enough for general cleaning duties and still produces a nice thick foam with good dwelling time 5-10min.

If you are looking for a stronger wash with slightly more cleaning ability then by all means use more. you should be able to get around 6-10 washes out of the bottle of maxi suds that is supplied depending on how heavy handed you are with the foam.
