Man I am one lazy mofo

If I find the motivation to actually install all this gear Ive just bought (f you ebay!) then my head lights should come on 10 seconds my oil pressure light turns off, then they should remain on till 30 seconds or so after I turn the ignition off and hop out of the car. The dash lights should dim as dusk approches thanks to a light sensing diode circuit.
Really if I was sensible I would set it up that the FMH lights only activated when its dark...

I really should do some work and stop thinking about this crap...

Gotta work today - made a f*** up of just shy of monumental proportions.
1 fricken inch! I've gone and made some base rail from RHS for some glass balustrade from 100 x 100 x 9 RHS instead of 125 x 125 x 9 all cut drilled and tapped close to 400 times for M10 thread. FAIL builder has been sweating on it and saw it went - yeah thats not gunna cut it. Called the engineer - no dice. FML!
Today is gunna be a crap day.
Worst thing is dads just like "oh well" oh well - I'll f***ing oh well him. Thats about $10k worth of "Oh well". Sure I've made bigger f*** ups in my time but this is possibly the simplest one with such a large impact.

*sigh*

Im actually getting a bigger arse kicking today for not keeping the site labour diary upto date...
The world is an odd place at times.

Believe me mate I've made WAY bigger f*** ups than that.
My biggest probably cost about $37,000 in material alone.
I know of people who have made $200,000 f**k ups in a single crane lift.
And to think I was hanging it on my accounts girl for making a stuff up on a progress claim earlier this week (she invoiced a client $13,800 instead of $513,800) Karma is a bitch.

Mind you I see this :

and I feel better :)

Hey sparkles there is another kit from Silicon Chip that is used for auto headlight turn on, it has a turn on delay built in and because you already have the light sensing diode it should be fairly easy to install. It also has an adjustable turn off time too, not sure if would be any more benefit that the kit Big Valven post.

Mate not the first time that crane company has stuck one over...
You'd be supprised how often cranes end up the wrong way up - and they usually go with a fair show when they do it.
I believe in that case the builder might be partially responsible as they allowed the crane to be setup on retained clay.
I'm told by the guy who took the pic that no one was hurt thankfully - justy a bit of an oopsy on a saturday. Just glad it wasn't a site im on or one of my cranes!

Yesterday I was trying to work out how big a cap would be to run both headlights for a minute, I came up with the answer- I'm an idiot!
