New PC Build

I decided to build the missus a new PC as her's is almost fast enough to play solitaire on, and i thought i would update mine a little later.
My computer was not that slow, but i wanted some more grunt, but as usual, there are issues...
My old one was an Intel Core2Duo Esomething running at 3.0ghz etc.
anyway, replacing the processor was out of the question being that its an old 775 socket, and there was not much to upgrade to unless i was going to OC it, but then i would have had to change the mobo etc and well, i would be on the way to a new PC..
So i thought i would build a new one for myself and the missus could have the old one! Problem solved!
Stage 1 is complete. with a few stages to come as i come across some more cash..
So far we have
AMD Phenom II 965 Black Edition.
Gigabyte GA-970A-D3 mobo
4gb DDR3
Radeon 6670 graphics card
3.5Tb HDD space (500gb for OS etc, 1 & 2 tb for storage)
Pioneer DVD-RW
all squished into a Silverstone LC13-e case
Also have a Microsoft X8 mouse
Xarmour mechanical KB
Logitech DiNovo Mini
now this computer serves a few purposes.
first up it is a HTPC box which it gets used for most of the time.
secondly its for my uni work and desktop publishing
thirdly for basic games and internet browsing.
The next stage is just a bit of cleaning up inside the case, tidy up the wiring etc, install new dust filters and try to lower some of the noise.
its fairly quiet at the moment, but the DVD drive can be a bit noisy at full song.
after that i have a few more plans.
Watercooling
16gb ram
SSD drive and maybe a 3tb drive (then slowly update the others to 3tb drives so ill have a total of 12tb + SSD)
Bluray drive
Overclocking
better graphics card.
So yeah, just thought i would share.

Whilst he was given a new amp after it could not be fixed, he never acknowledged any of the assistance given and bitches to this day about it.

yeah if its the right ram, it will do the job.
XP will only see 4gig total system memory (eg; if you have 4gig ram and 1gig graphics card, it will show 3gig)
and i would honestly get win7, its great, and with win8, i would wait another 6 months after its released to make sure its any good.

Should have bought a new Laptop with 7 Pre installed, I may buy a Windows tablet in the near future, if Fujitsu stop using the Atom processor.
Thanks for the help.
