Hey all,
been working my peabrain overtime for a meet and greet event....now Ive come up with some ideas what we can do.

1st idea
To use a double decker for a night cruising around Melbourne for 5-6 hours with thumping music, byo alcohol and the odd grog/pee stop

2nd idea
Use same decker and do a winery tour on the weekend daytime using Fed Sq as pick up/drop off point or prearranged points on the highway.

3rd idea
Night club crawl in the same decker again visiting places like ummm nightclubs

4th idea
Lap of the Bay doing a winery/brewery stop either side of the bay in a single decker cause the double d wont fit!!!
Meet at Fed Sq,drive bus to Sorrento winery, put bus on ferry.cross bay, drive to another winery/brewery,cruise back to Fed Sq

Now I havnt put prices, dates, or anything to specific yet as I want to see if anyone is keen on doing something like this.
Wives/girlfriends/partners all welcome,if I use a D/Decker we can take upto 70ish (60's a good size tho) or a single decker can only accommodate 35 people.
I was hoping a few interstaters could come along as there is a bit of planning and will give plenty of prep time for your trip, plus we can arrange an airport pick up/drop off in the decker aswell plus Im sure we can scrounge up a couch somewhere :)
As all of the bus's and deckers are alcohol licensed you are more than welcome to have a few and not worry about booze/drug bus's.
There is some legalities if under 18's are onboard.ie NO drinking, smoking or nightclub/winery entry due to age limits.
Sorry young dudes! :(

Anyways throw me up some feedback and I shall get cracking on the planning.

Vote for options 1,2,3, or 4

could be just me but they are meant to be more meet & greets, not meet and get pissed up. also its more of a family approach as well as some bring their children along. good ideas but all i see if different ideas on how to go out n get pissed.

EDIT: also its to have MEA as more of a community, not just focussed on music. the few meets ive been to we spend time catching up and talking crap, there is barely any talk about stereos or listening to music.

We as in the Victorian committee discussed this concept (before it was posted) and agreed with you from an "official" MEA event point of view. However in fairness to members who would like to do some of the activities discussed we thought we would post it up in an unofficial event form.

It could be me but all I hear is criticism, not construction ../../../public/style_emoticons/default/blum.gif
MR, we can do anything they were just SOME ideas but we can change anything.Refer Option 2 we can remove "winery" and insert "playground".......it doesnt really matter.
What if mum/dad wanted to enjoy a beer or 2? Well for starters there is Booze bus's to worry about and this totally eliminates any need to risk it.
As we are "licenced" that does NOT entitle you to get hammered as not even my missus is worth the $7000 fine that Id have to fork out and you will be up for $2000 aswell.
A few months back I had the pleasure of taking a group of Japanese and HK nationals to the Queenscliff Fort and no-one opened a bevvy till they trip home. They "older" of the group enjoyed being able to sit back and enjoy a nice quite one on the trip home.

It was just some ideas and to be a little bit different.
If ya have any idea as to what we can do for a day then shoot me a pm Im all ears.

I think there is potential here sidecar .. just those ideas didn't really hit the mark.
We're not discounting it entirely (hence why I approved the post) - I think we just all need to discuss more.

What about using your bus and services for an MEA Paintballing day?
