what sort of camera's do you's use? ive just got a $600 everything proof one but i want to get a nice $1000 one with changeable lenses, something i can grow into... any recommendations??

I've got a Canon 400D (quite an old model now) and I paid roughly $1000 for it.
It has been (and still is) a good camera to learn on.
For Canons I'd recommend looking at the 1000D and the 1100D, Or even the 600D for a little bit more.
Don't know much about the Nikons though.
If you can't decide between 2 different branded cameras with simliar features/price, Go with whatever feels the best to hold/which ever has the buttons in a better location.
It has been (and still is) a good camera to learn on.

^ check this site AJ! not only do they sell cheap, good quality tv's but they now sell canon and nikon cameras for pretty godo deals as well. can also get an ipad2 for $150 cheaper than i've seen anywhere else.
