Reverse camera has just been installed on my car and connected to a Pioneer AVH-P3250DVD HU. Camera works great in reverse but the HU defaults to a blank screen when back in drive mode. Touching the screen turns it back to the normal screen but 10secs later it defaults back to the blank screen. Music and radio is not affected.
Turning the camera off on the HU solves the problem but this somewhat defeats the purpose of having an automatic reverse camera.
Is this a bug in the operating system? Can you get firmware updates for head units?
Am going to contact Pioneer but thought I would try here first

forgot to connect the reverse wire by any chance?
