hey guys, im new to the country, just moved to brisbane from new zealand.

I have a 2004 Holden commodore vy.. is it hard to change from the factory head unit to the normal head unit? because i also still want the volume buttons on my steering wheel to work also? help!?

what head units would you recommend?

I also what to get into sound competitions here, so what would you recommend for a sub that will be going into the boot of a sedan ?

please help :)

Hi Kiwiboi87, your steering wheel controls should not be an issue, all you need is a head unit that has steering wheel control. You will also have to purchase a steering wheel interface so you can retain these functions (on steering wheel). I would look at something like the Alpine CDE-126EBTi which has this capability, this is the starting point for S.W.C. well at least in the Alpine range!

As for sub, a nice entry level into the SQ world widely varies between price, power.. Do you have an amp already or are you buying this also??
