Hello to everyone who frequents our forums,

As you've likely noticed, attendance on our forums, as well as our chat rooms and private chat rooms, has declined dramatically. Add to that the onslaught of spammers hacking into our site posting sales on shoes, handbags, plugging World Of Warcraft and what do you get, a forum that is constantly barraged with useless posts about shows, handbags and the like.

The worl as we know it is changing; the instant communication abilities of FaceBook and other social media has diluted the specialty forums and people interested in our passion look for their information in these areas. They don't come to our forums anymore, which is truly a sad thing to say.

To all of you who have loyally supported the IASCA forums, we sincerely thank you. You are the true supporters of what we're trying to achieve and hold the flame of passion for car audio competition.

Sadly, we had to come to a decision; the cost of maintenance of these forums outweighs its ability to be effective in today's world...

Therefore, the IASCA forums will be shut down by October 31st, possibly sooner, once we have our new server online and operational.

We thank each and every one of you who have supported our forums over the years and hope that you'll join us for conversations on our FaceBook page.

Sincerely,

Moe Sabourin,
Director of Operations,
IASCA Worldwide Inc

A sign of the future for all public forums perhaps?

Mark

Nope, just those that make themselves irrelevant to the majority and don't have an audience anymore.

MEA has faced some / similar / related problems, but I found ways around it and continued to make MEA interesting, relevant and a daily visit for so many.
They've just given up I guess without trying?
