They were marked down to sixty-something and had $1 postage that day.
Build quality seems to be pretty good.
I've also read in a number of forums that other companies use the same ones and just rebadge them.

I'll basically only be using them to stream MP3's and probably a bit of 'p!ssed YouTube'.

It's the design of the metter, essentialy they have a low pass filter in them and the EOP operates above this. We had a similar issue in the reverse direction, when we trialed BOP (broadband over powerline) at work. It was rectified using different metering units(fitted to the houses taking part in the trial).

my understanding BPL is different to EoP.

those LPF are on what type of meter?

your right, they are different... that's why i mentioned it as a "similar issue". It's not that there is a spicific LPF on a specific meter, but more the way the unit meters usage, it acts as a LPF.

I use the 1004 (Home theatre 4-port unit), the 2001 and the wifi one.. don't remember the numbers.
