i'd say call back the guy who sold you the oil alternator, tell him that it didn't work, and you want your money back.. selling an alternator to somebody, telling them it works, and telling them oil in it is fine, and it not working is pretty illegal afaik. by which i mean, selling somebody an item which is advertised as working, but doesn't work.
