Didnt know where to post. I got some speakers i would like installed in my gfs car, but i really wanna learn how to do it also. So i was wondering if anyone in the Traralgon area would be willing to show me how to do it(i would pay obviously in beer, money or a donation to the site).

Car has an alpine 9887 h/u with a orion sx275 amp and orion c2.62 speakers. would like to replace the speakers with a/d/s splits ones.

cheers,
Steve

What car is it?

I'm from Mill Park, but if your girlfriend is in no hurry, I could help you do it over the Xmas break.

It's a nice drive out your neck of the woods too :)

I have being here awhile, even worked in Morwell a few years ago and never met Broadz, and i never heard of the other :P. Do you know what car he drives?

I wouldnt want you to go out of your way, it was more if people were in this area and wanted to earn a little bit of money/booze w.e. A 2.5hr drive i wouldnt expect :)....But it would be appreciated haha. Its a Nissan Bluebird 1994. Not in any hurry at all, these speakers were for the Datsun which is taking forever and id love to hear them(and upgrade the speakers in the car).

Dude, why don't you have a crack yourself? A speaker install is relatively easy, even if you're not the 'hands on' type. There's bulk information on this very topic on here and elsewhere on the net. If you run into trouble I'm sure people here will step you through it; if not I certainly will.

You can't put a price on the self satisfaction you get from DIY :)

That's true... Just make sure you wire them properly (not hard to get them in phase) and mount the properly (a good mount will make them sound 1,000,000x better) :D
