OK, yeah the box comes a little small, especially when designing for DD's, they want the port area to be 16 inches per cube, you gotta make the boxes huge.

Make the port 90mm wide, 500mm (501 if you wanna be exact). There should be a 45mm gap between each port end, and the back of the box.

Double layer the front baffle, of course use 18mm for the box. If you want, add in a sheet of 18mm in the exact center of the port, and round the port ends and corner.

how long are those rear chamber ports sir...? and tuning front/rear...?

EDIT: wait i'm a douche!! i immediately thought it was a parallel baffled 6th order... ignore my above post, i was wondering how you could fit a sub thru the 90mm front chamber hahahaha!!!

It's a normal slot port box :)

I thought 6th order, but for 3510's, there's not enough box size.

as above, i really am a douche lol, when i saw it i thought it was a 6th order, but with some further investigation it would be interesting trying to fit a sub down the 90mm frontchamberwhichisreallytheport...

Thanks heaps for that mate much appreciated :)
just to double check because you didnt specify but the height is 310mm yeah?
Also should i add some 45's in the corners? if so how wide should they be?

And yeah im gonna attempt to have massive flares on the front opening :)

Edit: sorry one more question haha.. does the 600depth include the double baffle or do i need to add it to make it 618mm in total?

Build the box to the external dimensions you provided: 310high, 850wide, 600deep.

Definately round any port edges if you can, as for the bends, if you can keep them the exact width through the bend that's a bonus, but 45 'em at least.

Ok so i modelled the box on sketchup and everythings good except for one thing.

With the port including the double baffle its length is 500mm, but theres a 82mm gap between port and box not 45mm like your original picture. So does that mean the port including the baffle in total should be 536mm so that the gap is 45mm?

Cheers

There should be a 45mm gap between the port and the rear wall. Overall, your depth is 600mm. Minus 18mm for rear wall is 582. 582 minus 36mm for the baffle leaves 546. Glue between layers will probably eat up 1mm, so if you make the sheets for the port 500mm, it'll leave you 45mm between the port and the back of the box.

(my assumption is, you'd make each baffle using two layers of 18mm, and then add a length of wood front to back for the port, like you have in your diagram.)
