Hi all, I am trying to do some research about designing and tuning bandpass enclosures. i have been doing some searching and reading, but all I have been able to find is posts on forums saying to research it, and a few descriptions and 1 with a generic formula to design one. What I haven't been able to find is somewhere that covers how to tune them and what effects the different chamber volumes will have. I have been playing with Bass Box and WinISD and have been able to manipulate a few designs by changing individual values, but still don't quite understand how it all works together.

Does anyone know of any sites that go into detail about tuning and modifying 4th or 6th order enclosures?

best place to start is to find a copy of Loudspeaker Design Cookbook by Vance Dickason.

if you cant find it send me your email an i will send it to you because i cant post it here because it's to large

thanks Barcode. I actually got the Logan Libraries to buy this book in for me a year or so ago, I had it for about 2 months. I have sourced another copy now but it is a little to technical for my knowledge at the moment. I will have to read up on electrical theory, I should have paid more attention in physics back at school.

Anyone have other resources they can recommend?

Thanks Pulse, that site is awesome. So many topics covered there, I will have to spend a week reading them.

Elliot's words are easy to understand.
