Just use a decent glue and it will be fine, cut a round piece of mdf that sits around the battery box so it can't slide sideways etc and glue it down with some of the high strength wood glue in the silicon tubes. Thats what i have used and once set it don't move anywere.

well if your running the battery in the spare wheel well, i'd do a cut out to that fits snuggly into the spare wheel well, i'm not 100% sure how the spare bolts down in the BA, but i know alot have provision for a bolt in the middle, use this spot, and put yout own bolt in place, holding the cut out of MDF in place, then with your battery in place (may need to lay it down, ensure it's a proper sealed unit meant to be layed on it's side) and you can then bolt any mounts directly to the MDF cut out instead of the metal work of the car...

Yeh i had to use a crow bar to take my port plug off because silly me used the same glue i used to build my sub box. It's in a Green silicon tube and its High Strength wood glue. I use it for everything lol. You can get it from Bunnings and mitre 10 etc.

i fibreglassed part of my spare wheel well and used my spare wheel bolt/hole to hold it into place and then glued/bogged (to level it) a peice of MDF ontop and then my battery clamp screwed down into the MDF, didnt move an inch....

well tommorow il put the new battery in :) ended up going a supercharge amptech 105 amp hour battery, could have gone smaller but for the price i thought why not go big :)

so basically i dont have a screw like most cars to hold my spare wheel it was held by a tie down set up, so basically im gonna make the bottom panel nice and snug, maybe fill the little curve in the bottom of the well with some foam padding and then will either liquid nail or silicone the wood to the floor. As for a battery box ive decided to make one out of 18mm mdf as i dont like the idea of the plastic boxes when theres not alot of support.

and yeah il be sure to router all edges to make it look nice and it will recieve a coat of paint. Also measured the rockford amp up and it will fit it awesome and should have no voltage drop as the runs will literally be 30cm long from the battery, so il get started on a metal amp rack :)

Cant wait to finally get a box finalised and made and get to fibreglassing and making it pretty and finally say im done! :D
