VT Josh made a good thread in the SPL section about peoples goals in their SPL cars this year so I thought it would be good to see the goals of the MEASQ competitors for this 2011 season.

Post up what you want to achieve in the season, vehicle mods you want to do, new system components/installs, compete in higher classes, help out some noobs, make new friends, etc.


It will be good to know the different reasons we all enjoy this Hobby and turn up to compete each Comp.

Would like to see MEASQ season 2011 Kicking off in NSW this year again. Just don't understand why nobody is interested getting into it. Anybody know why?

I'd like to compete for the first time but not sure if WA is actually participating?

This years challenge will be to install all my gear into a toyota aurion and get it to win a trophy.

I'd like to say my goal is to get a trophy, but I'll be stepping up to intermediate along with a few other people and thus increasing the field somewhat hence reducing the chance of getting one.

I suppose I need a slightly more achievable goal, to start with.
With that in mind, my goal for 2011 is to try to equal, or beat my best score in novice.

help grow MEASQ, both in VIC and other states.
keep performing well enough, though i expect even tougher competition this season.
get my p99rs installed and some new a-pillars built.
change to a different sub.
save enough moolah to get custom dash work done to house some 4" midranges and possibly change midbass speakers before 2012 season starts.

audioquest, please look here MEASQ NSW appeal , the ACT crew are willing to help make this happen, but we can't do it alone

my goals for the year are:
- get my 8" midbass in the car
- help educate more noobs in ACT and make our competitors more competitive at the national level
- maybe towards the end of the year (funds permitting) update the boot install, including new amps and going IB (possibly dual 15s)
- Finish building my display board for show class
- and if I have time rebuild my a-pillars to get the drivers more on axis
- help Waz finally get a stereo in his car
- help kickstart MEASQ in NSW
- finish putting together a reference system for the home(getting there, got an amp and cd player on the way)

wow do I have a lot on my plate for the year

There is some history there. But in recent times i think its lacking a person to steer the ship. Plenty of guys keen to help but i think they need someone who can run the show.

my goals are a mixture of personal and community ones:

- to compete for a full season for once......this time i have a car and a stereo ready to go before the season starts

- to experiment and learn this year though, going to see what works and what doesnt so i can apply the gained knowledge in the future

- improve as a judge/admin to help everyone else out and make the whole thing run as smoothly as possible and to help grow MEASQ in QLD

- use my $100 front stage to be competitive with people spending 5 to 10 times more

- "lead" another band of QLD'ers down south of the border for another good showing at Nationals. Also drive my own car down so i can take a big esky and dont have to put like 5 cans at time in the bar fridge.

We only need one person to step forward and raise their hand as the local organiser and it could all happen from there.
If we get enough interest and can cover our expenses via entry fees, I and a couple of VIC judges could likely come to NSW and get the season started and judges trained up.

I should add mine too I suppose.

Install a system in the new car in time to make it down to melbourne for a round.

Support MEASQ in NSW (can always help but not enough time to be the leader) and ACT.

Make it to nationals with a competitive car.

* Mine is to get more people in MEAACT involed at a organizing level to make things easier For James Data-mine and Myself.
* Get my boot install finished so i can start with the speaker locations, And use James help.
* Teach MEAACT guy and gals more about tuning and how we judge and what to listen for.
* And to take a group of MEAACT to Nationals and all to do well.
* And build a display board.
* Judges training for MEAACT.
* And to offer a hand to NSW if anyone puts there hand up to help.

Seriously, to do as well as possible in Expert Class here in Vic, then attend the Finals in November and do well (well better than last year! )

Most importantly, promote MEA and MEASQ as much as possible through my shop and any other means available to me.
