Hey Guys,
I punched out a nice little install in a VY SS ute over the weekend for a mate. It has a Soundstream Lil Wonder 5 channel with some Focal 50th Anniversary Polyglass splits. The source unit is the Blau OEM unit.
I found the mobile phone socket inside the passenger side dash/footwell area and spliced into the yellow wire as this is a 12V accessory. I verified this with a multimeter. The system was tested and found to be working correctly, however once we reinstalled the seats, we now have an issue with the amp and source unit not turning off?
Any idea's? I had to send him home yesterday as it was late and we ran out of time. I'm wondering whether there is an issue with the amp, some kind of ground issue feeding back into the 12V trigger that is keeping the source unit powered up. I have a feeling that when I disconnect the remote wire its going to stop this problem.

ive had similar problems with VYs before and it turned out to be the door switch jamming up, the accessory feed to the head unit stays on after you take the key out until you open the door so if the door switch isnt working the head unit wont turn off

Yep, I'm researching that very option right now. Its an intermittent fault, sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't.
Its throwing an Airbag fault too, which is scaring me a little.
